An interesting sign

Here is an interesting sign in a hotel restroom. Now – does it mean to say:” if you smoke, the alarm will go off”? Or “It’s OK to smoke because no smoking alarm will go off.”

The same ambiguity is found in many presentations. Watch for it in yours.
